Artist Ricardo Afonso has created a design concept for a transparent iPad, demonstrating what he thinks could be the future of mobile devices.

Mashable shared the concept on Friday, noting that transparent screens are not impossible to make. The illustrations show covered areas at the top and bottom of the iPad, where the working parts of the tablet would be located.



However, in order to achieve a transparent iPad design like the one created by Afonso, batteries will need to advance and become smaller, as they won't fit inside the small opaque sections of the tablet.
