General Manager of Intel Architecture Group (IAG), Christopher Kelly said 50 per cent of the between 600 to 700 engineers worldwide who produced the core processor, are Malaysians.
" They were in charge of the physical design of the component and valuation testing," he said at the media briefing on the Intel Core Processor here today.
The new Intel processor, designed specifically for the Ultrabook "2-in 1" devices, represents a giant leap in capabilities by delivering all-day battery life with incredible performance.
"This "2-in-1 devices deliver a personal computer when you need it and a tablet when you want it.
"The processor enables a 50 per cent improvement in battery life," he added.
He said Intel Core processor is really a reflection of the company's innovation and pursuit of excellence in high tech and high volume manufacturing.
