As-salamualaikum,
I am Rajibul Anam (Opu). This e-mail is one of my research output. Normally when we meet any nonmuslim if opposite gender we don’t do handshake with them. Some times they (opposite gender) talk with us and touch our body. As a muslim we feel very bad. Some times we give them some Islamic books but they don’t respect the books. They just handle the books like normal books.
As a normal muslim we never go to body contact with opposite gender. It is our religious rules & become our culture. Now am sharing other faiths concept. Other faiths don’t have any such rules for Aurah. They can do free mixing. Even the religious teachers can touch the opposite genders. Exceptional (Monks, Catholic pastor, Balbramhachari).So if the religious teacher don’t follow any such kind of things, so why the general followers will follow this kind of things. So any time any nonmuslim touch you or hug you don’t scold them. Just show them respect. Later on just politely tell them it is prohibited in Islam. If we respect them they will do same to us.
From my experience what I found the way they mix with the opposite gender we even dare to touch & mix with our own blood brother & sisters. It is all about religion & culture.
When we give any Islamic books to the nonmuslim we found that they don’t respect the book even the Quran. Do you know how they treat the Bible, Vagabat Gita, Tripitaka? I attach some pictures. Please check it out. They have no concept to respect the religious books. They treat their own religious books as normal books. So we need to understand the gap. That is their culture & religious way. So when we provide the Islamic books to the nonmuslims we have to be very open mind. Because they don’t know how to respect the Religious books. We can’t assume that they will take care of the Quran & Islamic books as we Muslim do. We Muslim do because we Believe in Allah. We have faith on Islam. Nonmuslim don’t have. I am not telling that, let them play with Quran & Islamic books. Those who are interested in Islam help them.We need to show them the respect & care for them. Nonmuslims are our brothers & sisters. Only thing is they are out of track. It is our job to put them in the track.
We muslims need to open our mind. We can go to Church, Temples but do we invite them to the Mosque. They invite us to their religious programs, do we invite them at Eid? The more we will be open mind the Islam will be more easy. We no need to break any rules of Islam. We can do everything under Quran & Hadiz. How Prophet Muhammad did Dawah to the human? We have to open out mind & heart for the human. Forget the age, skin color, race. We are the best creation of Allah. We have to prove it.
"There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right Path has become distinct from the wrong path. Whoever disbelieves in Tâghût and believes in Allâh, then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never break. And Allâh is All-Hearer, All-Knower." Surah: 2 Aya: 256
Quran is for all human kind. So every human got rights to know. If we don’t provide them Quran & Hadiz books then how they will know ABOUT Islam? How they will get the right message?
